On September 3rd 2008, the cat has finally come out of the nuclear bag. A detailed official Bush administration letter, dated January 16,2008 which answered 45 political –technical questions submitted in October 2007 by Tom Lantos, the then Chairman of the house committee on Foreign Affairs, was considered so sensitive from  an Indian political stand point that the state department ensured that it was kept secret even though it was not a classified document.
Now it is clear, as pointed by the left from the beginning, that there wont be any “full civilian nuclear co-operation,” the U.S Govt. has clearly assured the congress that they will never transfer the reprocessing and enrichment equipment and technology to India.  And more importantly the entire agreement will collapse if India conduct another nuclear test.
Manmohan and ‘team’ were repeatedly claiming that there is nothing in the agreement that prevents India from conducting a nuclear explosion experiment.  In this circumstances there is no moral right for the UPA to continue in power.  The enigmatic silence of the Sangh Parivar on 123 agreement and bottling up of the old wine of anti-conversion slogan is their silent consent to this 123 agreement.
The attacks on Christian prayer halls in karnataka following close on the heels of attacks on churches in Orissa reveal that the Sangh Privar groups have again taken up their fascists agenda.  The attacks in Orissa and Karnataka were planned and systematic. assault on the minority community.
In Orissa Sangh Parivar groups were quick to hijack the agitation and protest, on the killing of a Swami by  Naxal Groups and terrorized the minority community in the communally sensitive district of Kandhmal.  According to the State Government 558  houses were set ablaze, 17 churches destroyed, 8000 people were taken to refugee camps.

In the Khandhamal district  52% of the population are tribes and 17 % SC’s. 15 % of the population is Christians.  So the communal  hatred experiment in Kandhamal can be found an extension of the experiment in Dhanghs district of Gujarat, where Sangh Parivar triggered a communal violence in 1998.  In Dhanghs also about 50% of the population is tribes. The vicious experiment to concrete the ‘ Hindu Vote’  Bank by burning the communal feelings by Sangh Parivar must be resisted by all democratic forces in India.  Because secular India cannot afford one more “Gujarat”.
